NAME OF ACTIVITY: toe jousting

GRADE LEVEL: grades 1-6

EQUIPMENT NEEDED: none

HIGHLIGHTS: quickness, agility, being alert, balance, anticipating the movement of others, 1-1 competition.

INSTRUCTIONS:  Divide the class into sets of two.  Each pair of players will join both hands while facing each other.  On the given signal players will attempt to lightly step on their opponents feet with their own feet.  Each time a player successfully taps his opponents toe he is awarded one point.  Play continues until either player reaches three points.
